On day two of Paris Fashion Week, Dries Van Noten paired plaids and florals together, and did so brilliantly. A sort of softer grunge was exhibited in this collection, with the mash up of two patterns normally reserved for opposite seasons. Van Noten used nontraditional fabrics such as taffeta, lamé, and organza for the plaids to make them appear more luxurious and lightweight than the typical wool or flannel reserved for the cold-weather print.
