Paris Fashion Week Highlights, Part 2

Karl Lagerfeld's Spring 2013 Chanel collection had an eco-conscious geometric vs. organic theme with structured jackets shown alongside floral chiffon dresses.  As a part of the always grand Chanel set, giant wind mills were scattered down the runway and the sustainability theme was carried out in the collection, particularly with a metallic blue grid dress resembling solar panels.

A primary-hued quilted bag was one of my favorite accessories in the collection

Since designing Kate Middleton's wedding dress, Sarah Burton has become a household name and  has maintained the legacy of the late Alexander McQueen while bringing in her own distinctive style to the brand.  In her latest collection, everyone was "abuzz" over her bee-themed collection which carried over quite literally in all the looks with "honeycomb" embellished peplum tops, pants, and Scarlett-O'hara worthy hoop skirts.
